No-Tie Holidays

Yes, it's that time of year again in the Southern Hemisphere. Time to shut shop and move myself to a beach at Waiheke Island - contemplating more posts for this blog (among other things).
Meanwhile, until 10 January, I'll post interesting neckerchief-related photographs from the archives on the site.
Have a great Christmas holidays and may the next year be a good one in every respect! See you in 2011!

The Neckerchief Valhalla

You think you've got something new; do the research - find nothing on the net like it, set up a blog and then, half a year further on, you discover a blog called the Neckerchief Valhalla

Okay, it seems to have died on 17 February 2009, but the thing with these blogs is: they don't disappear.
Three great pictures I can't resist to paste here; thanks Valhalla.

Questionable Fashion Tips...

Not meant to be funny, I fear, but it makes good entertainment:

Bandana Argentina

Bandana were a Latin Grammy-nominated female pop group from Buenos Aires, Argentina. They saw both local and international success from 2001 until 2004 when they disbanded. In total, they released 3 studio albums, 1 live album and DVD, and a film starring themselves. They were managed by RGB Entertainment and were a big phenomenon, causing hysteria among tween and teen girls.

Following on from a trend established by the Spice Girls in the UK & internationally in the late 1990s, Bandana became a carefully marketed product which was especially popular among young girls. Many licensed products with their brand were available to purchase, and contributed to the heightened interest in the group, occasionally referred to as 'Bandanamania'.

Their signature bandanas of varying colours were quickly imitated by the teen population, as were their lyrics & dance routines.
